Challenges

Integrating my own motion and interactions into a visual theme that had been locked in advance, and doing it in a way that elevated the existing direction rather than clashing with it.

Impact

Upper Bound sells out every year. The 2026 edition drew roughly 11,000 attendees from 22 countries (a 53% jump over the prior year). Having a concise, but engaging landing page for users was important for converting leads into sales.

Challenges

Pushing the user engagement past passive reading. Rather than letting people skim biographies, I implemented gamified features and discovery tokens that nudge the user to discover more of the app and engage with the content in an impactful way.

Description

Canada's first walkway app built for Canadian Veteran's History. The app was built as a bridge between a younger, screen-native generation and the stories of those who served.

Edmonton Commonwealth Walkway

Challenges

Improving the Edmonton Heritage Council's impressions and enticing users to engage with Edmonton's history in an impactful, and retentful way.

Impact

Following app improvements and migration to a modern content management system, the council has yearly added new content and 'Summer Series' guided tours, leading to a 94% increase in first-time downloads, and 86.9% increase in conversion rate during the peak season.

Challenges

Working with a separate team, who works in a different stack, with different processes could have been a challenge. Establishing a communal workflow and routine checkups removed any idiosyncrasies, and the project was delivered on time, with no bugs.

Impact

After implementation and overhaul of the app, the Product Page Views jumped 4.79K%, with a conversion rate of 27.6% (a 191% jump). This captures how important digital engagement is for what I call 'sandboxes' - an ecosystem where a user can interact physically, and digitally with the things around them.

Challenges

Development and iteration on the websites behind some of Canada's marquee festivals and events — K-Days, Farmfair International, the Canadian Finals Rodeo, Revelstoke, and more.

Impact

While still having the opportunity to introduce novel interactions, these projects are more about scale and reliability. Keeping high-traffic, seasonal sites fast, searchable, and easy to update for the teams running them.
